
School Speech and Language Therapist – SW London
Description
We are working on behalf of one of the top education groups in London to find an experienced and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join their dynamic education team in a specialist school providing education from Early Years through to Sixth Form. The role focuses on improving outcomes for children and young people with autism, learning disabilities, and special educational needs.
You will develop and implement individual and group intervention programmes, collaborate with other professionals, and contribute to the development of speech and language therapy services within the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy for children and young people, focusing on ASD and learning disabilities.
- Develop individual and group intervention programmes and monitor their effectiveness.
- Provide support and training to teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Work closely with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP) and ensure outcomes are achieved within resources.
- Maintain high standards of record-keeping and ensure compliance with professional guidelines.
- Participate in professional development and maintain HCPC registration.
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide integrated support across disciplines.
Requirements
- BSc in Speech and Language Therapy Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload and work autonomously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle complex, sensitive information.
