
We are partnering with one of our esteemed clients, a non-maintained special school in the UK serving children and young people aged 3-19. This school specialises in supporting pupils across early years, primary, and secondary levels with autism and learning disabilities. With a capacity for 100 students, it offers a highly individualised and supportive learning environment tailored to their needs.
This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Educational Psychologist (EP) to apply their expertise and significantly contribute to enhancing the lives of pupils. As a key member of the Integrated Services team, comprising Occupational Therapists, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Specialists, and Speech and Language Therapists, you will contribute to creating reflective, emotionally supportive environments that prioritise student well-being and development.
- Conduct psychological assessments and deliver targeted interventions for children and young people aged 3-19 with autism and associated learning disabilities.
- Engage collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, holistic support across early years, primary, and secondary educational settings.
- Design and deliver high-quality consultation and training programmes for professionals, educators, and families, promoting best practices in supporting autistic learners.
- Employ person-centred, evidence-based approaches to improve the quality of life and educational outcomes for pupils.
- Foster strong partnerships with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to co-produce strategies that address the unique challenges faced by autistic children and young people.
- Doctorate in Educational Psychology (or an equivalent recognised qualification).
- Extensive experience in working with children and young people with autism and learning disabilities, particularly within early years, primary, and secondary settings.
- Demonstrable success in designing and delivering professional development and consultation programmes for a wide range of audiences, including educators, families, and care providers.
- A thorough understanding of current research and its application to practice, ensuring all interventions are grounded in the latest evidence-based methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the capacity to build effective partnerships with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, person-centred solutions.
