Responsibilities
As a Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Conduct community assessments for both standard and specialist equipment.
- Assess, recommend, and facilitate minor and major housing adaptations.
- Perform comprehensive manual handling assessments with confidence and competence.
- Work collaboratively with clients, carers, and professionals to deliver tailored support.
- Maintain accurate records in line with local authority guidelines.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Have previous experience working in a local authority setting.
- Demonstrate expertise in housing adaptations and manual handling assessments.
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills.
